The car belongs to Charli Tameris, it’s been competing in the northeast for three or four years.

The cage was logbooked a decade or so ago, so while the door bar design wouldn’t pass now it’s been grandfathered in. That said, rally car door bars do tend to be lower than in many other forms of racing.

The MIG was at Wings of Eagles in Horseheads, New York

We’d usually meet up at a bar, have some drinks, then go to our respective overnight accomodations

I don’t drink. Stef says yes.

That is a bummer, though I wouldn’t have enjoyed the traffic

It was a ton of fun, especially on the twisty roads like the Tail, though it did have some shortcomings as well (like holes in the foot well). Write-up will happen when Stef catches up on her backlog

Aside from the cold coming in by my feet it was much better than expected. The seats were surprisingly comfortable and the ride wasn’t as harsh as in some other rally cars

I had a bite of one on the Daytona leg of Stef’s Great Adventure in the ultimate Florida location: next to a porn shop, down the street from the speedway.

They’re an excellent sponge for syrup and butter—an efficient vehicle to get deliciousness into your mouth.

We ended up giving the bulk of ours away to a guy who said he’d distribute them among some of the local homeless, though. We were kind of relieved we’d missed the eating contest, so feeding actually hungry people instead of pointlessly stuffing ourselves FTW.
